Job Summary:
The Enrollment Success Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting the Outreach and Dual Enrollment Department in guiding prospective, new, and returning students through the enrollment process. This position requires a dedicated individual who can provide excellent customer service, work effectively in a team environment, and maintain accurate records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform various admissions and records functions, including reviewing and processing applications, tracking student registrations, and maintaining accurate records.
- Provide technical and clerical support to faculty and staff, as well as diverse information and assistance to students, staff, faculty, managers, and the general public.
- Act as a central point of contact for the college, answering a variety of questions in various formats.
- Identify, provide support, and monitor the completion and success of high-need student populations.
- Compile data and information from various sources, preparing appropriate forms, schedules, and reports.
- Provide training and work guidance to student workers and hourly staff.
Requirements:
- Equivalent to two (2) years of college-level coursework in business or other related fields.
- Two (2) years of increasingly responsible experience in a student services or academic setting involving frequent student contact and demonstrating a basic knowledge and understanding of student services.
- A valid California driver's license and a safe driving record.
- Skills in a second designated language (if applicable).
- Basic CPR/AED and First Aid certification (if applicable).
Working Conditions:
This is a non-telecommuting position. All District employees must participate in the COVID-19 Vaccination Program, which requires them to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 unless they receive an approved medical or religious exemption.
The work environment is primarily in a standard office setting with frequent interruptions and distractions. The physical demands of the job require sufficient ability and mobility to work in an office setting, stand or sit for prolonged periods, and occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist.
