Interventional Child Life Specialists are key members of the multidisciplinary health care team, serving pediatric patients and families at Primary Children’s Hospital - Lehi. In this role, you will work closely with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective patient-centered health care plans, providing support and education for children and their loved ones throughout their hospital stay.

Salary
The hourly rate for this position is between $23.25 and $35.89, depending on experience. Job Description
As a Child Life Specialist in Behavioral Health, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing developmentally appropriate education and psychological procedural preparation for pediatric patients and families
  • Assessing and prioritizing patient care needs, documenting clinical interventions, and developing effective patient-centered health care plans
  • Collaborating with healthcare teams to promote patient independence and optimum development

Required Skills and Qualifications
In order to be successful in this role, you must possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • Documented 600-hour internship supervised by a certified Child Life Specialist
  • Child Life Certification from the Association of Child Life Professionals (ACLP) or eligibility within 15 months of hire date
  • Experience working with pediatric patients in a medical, hospital, or behavioral health setting
  • Familiarity with child life core competencies and ability to apply them effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
