Job SummaryWe are seeking a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team at one of our Long Term Care facilities in St. Louis, Missouri. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work closely with our Physical Therapists to provide high-quality patient care and achieve excellent treatment outcomes.
Responsibilities- Assist in implementing treatment plans designed by Physical Therapists
- Provide direct patient care, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modality applications
- Monitor and document patient progress, report observations to the Physical Therapist, and educate patients and families on treatment protocols, exercises, and self-care techniques
- Accurately document patient treatments, progress, and responses in compliance with facility policies and regulatory standards
- Collaborate with Physical Therapists, other healthcare professionals, and support staff to ensure coordinated patient care and effective treatment outcomes
- Associate's degree in Physical Therapist Assisting from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant, or license eligible
- Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools, therapy equipment, relevant software, and electronic health record systems
