Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and direct the facilities maintenance team to ensure proper operation and maintenance of facilities, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and structural systems.
  • Develop and implement EHS policies and procedures in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members on EHS matters, including triaging work-related injuries.
  • Lead safety committee meetings and initiatives while fostering a proactive approach to risk management.
  • Manage facility environmental programs, including hazardous waste monitoring, governmental reporting, air/water permitting, and ensure compliance with company policies and applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards, including OSHA 300 reporting.
  • Develop and facilitate safety training to new and existing team members, focusing on EHS best practices and emergency response.
  • Investigate incidents and accidents, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Facilities Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in EHS management and facilities operations, or a combination of.
  • Knowledge of EHS regulations and best practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and EHS management software.
  • OSHA 30-hour General Industry and Safety Health card preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Federal and State Indiana occupational safety, health, and environmental regulations, with strong knowledge of OSHA regulations preferred.
  • Working knowledge of environmental wastewater systems.
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Strong document management skills and attention to detail.
  • Bias for action with a proactive approach to self-lead tasks to completion.
  • Ability to work flexible hours as needed.
