In the role of Furnace Operations Engineer, you will oversee the complete manufacturing processes, particularly focusing on batch and furnace operations. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining safety, productivity, and quality benchmarks.

  • Enhance furnace efficiency through thorough inspections, timely repairs, and regular maintenance.
  • Lead initiatives for furnace cold repairs and comprehensive rebuild projects.
  • Oversee inventory management and procurement of essential supplies for furnace upkeep.
  • Develop and mentor furnace technicians to streamline operational processes.
  • Continuously monitor equipment status and implement necessary repairs to ensure peak performance.
  • Guarantee optimal melting temperatures and processing parameters to achieve superior production quality.
  • Operate, calibrate, and maintain various systems within the furnace environment.
  • Apply knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Six Sigma methodologies for process enhancement.
  • Exhibit proficiency in relevant systems such as Wonderware and Noltec.
  • Possess strong verbal and written communication abilities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in ceramic, mechanical, or chemical engineering is preferred.
  • A minimum of ten years of experience in furnace and manufacturing operations is required.
