Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to lead our Bridge team at Olsson. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring successful project deliverables and completion for complex and high-priority projects that may span across multiple teams.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with others. You will be instrumental in expanding our client base and growing our bridge group, while also providing direction to the Bridge team and ensuring quality execution of key projects.

Our Bridge team works on a wide range of projects, including bridge rehabilitation, widening, new and reconstruction, inspections, load ratings, as well as construction phase engineering services for bridge contractors. We complete designs on transportation projects that include grade separations, interchanges, and stream crossings for public and private clients throughout the Midwest.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead project management for complex and high-priority projects
  • Provide direction to the Bridge team and ensure quality execution of key projects
  • Expand our client base and grow our bridge group
  • Supervise and nurture the professional and technical growth of team members
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
  • 8+ years of relevant engineering experience
  • Must be a registered Professional Engineer (PE)
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to contribute and work well on a team
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design
  • Involvement with bridge analysis and design programs (LARSA, LEAP Bridge Expertise, Lpile, SPColumn, or MDX)
  • Experience with Iowa DOT or NDOT Bridge projects
  • Familiarity with MicroStation software
