Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Research Nurse to join our team at Prisma Health. As a key member of our research team, you will be responsible for the implementation, management, and oversight of research studies, including the education of research staff, healthcare team members, participants, and their caregivers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in determining patient eligibility for enrollment in research studies and identify individual patient needs to facilitate participation.
  • Register patients into research studies to meet protocol parameters and assist in the informed consent process.
  • Evaluate outcomes, interact, communicate, and consult with the healthcare team as required to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Collaborate with other health team members to formulate an interdisciplinary plan of care and plan a schedule of patient activities related to the study requirements.
  • Provide patients and families with information regarding clinical trial participation and provide education regarding individual treatment, including purpose, potential side effects, and self-care measures.
  • Gather and abstract study data and document in a factual, concise manner that meets regulatory/unit standards.
  • Manage study-related inventory, including data collection tools, study supplies, and study medication, if applicable.
  • Collaborate with the IRB of record and sponsoring agencies to ensure global awareness regarding the progression of various studies, amendments, and regulatory monitoring.
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree - Nursing.
  • 1 year - Nursing experience in a specialty area.
  • Current SC RN License.
  • BSN - Preferred.
  • Prior research experience - Preferred.
