Account Resolution Specialist

As an Account Resolution Biller at Jackson County Memorial Hospital, you will play a critical role in ensuring timely and accurate billing and claims management of patient accounts. Your primary responsibility will be to process and manage claims to minimize accounts receivable and maximize hospital reimbursement from payers.
Key Responsibilities:- Process and manage claims to ensure accurate and efficient billing
- Prepare and upload claims to the clearinghouse daily
- Work with customer service to correctly distribute payments on accounts
- Sort and distribute daily mail for patient accounting
- High school diploma or equivalent required; advanced degree or active pursuit of advanced degree preferred
- One year of previous experience in patient financial services, accounts receivable, health information management, or business office setting preferred
- Experience in claims and remittance processing preferred
- Ability to pass pre-employment testing, including clerical ability and typing test
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be able to read and communicate effectively in English
- Must be able to communicate firmly with patients regarding their financial status
- Must be able to communicate effectively with patients, doctors, and other departments in the institution
