Role Specifics:
This role is situated within the Power Generation Division, overseeing all non-nuclear generation operations, with an installed capacity exceeding 40,000 megawatts (MW).

The position is part of our Wind Operations team, concentrating on Strategy & Analytics across the entire renewable energy portfolio, which includes wind, solar, battery storage, and distributed generation assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist executive leadership by providing real-time insights and reporting on operational and financial performance through strategic analysis, performance metric tracking, and driver-based analytics.
  • Develop Business Intelligence tools with a specific emphasis on Power BI to enhance business performance insights.
  • Oversee monthly and annual forecasting and conduct variance analysis for executive leadership.
  • Collaborate with various departments – Engineering, Business Services, Business Management, IT – to identify business challenges, devise innovative solutions, and align on strategies that promote business improvement.
  • Lead analytical projects for executive leadership, showcasing strong project management capabilities, exceptional communication and presentation skills, and proficiency in advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, along with knowledge of data visualization tools like Microsoft PowerBI and corporate financial systems (SAP).
  • Enhance financial models that encapsulate operational and financial metrics, driving long-term improvements across the renewable portfolio.

Job Duties:

  • Conduct comprehensive cost accounting activities, including variance analysis, standard cost development, activity-based costing, and inventory management.
  • Provide financial guidance to Operations leadership in decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Support the establishment of new business lines and identify opportunities to minimize overhead costs.
  • Generate reporting and analysis for all operational activities, covering productivity, capital and overhead expenditures, forecasting, budgeting, absorption, sales, and inventory and operations planning.
  • Prepare and disseminate financial reports and indicators, articulating financial results to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Communicate operational performance through Profit & Loss statements.
  • Foster effective collaboration with colleagues across all departments.
  • Lead and implement process improvement initiatives utilizing Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Manage internal control processes, identifying and mitigating control weaknesses.
  • Extract, organize, analyze, and present data in a manner conducive to informed business decision-making.
  • Enhance technical and communication skills through self-directed learning and training opportunities.
  • Perform additional job-related duties as required.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
