Job Overview:

Soliant is seeking a dedicated and skilled School Psychologist to join our educational team in Akron, Ohio. The successful candidate will provide vital psychological services to support the academic, social, and emotional growth of our students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify student needs and inform intervention strategies.
  • Deliver individual and group counseling to students addressing various social, emotional, and behavioral issues.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 plans.
  • Work with school staff to promote a positive learning environment and enhance student well-being.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of school-wide mental health and academic programs.
  • Provide crisis intervention and ongoing support as needed.
  • Maintain detailed and confidential records of all services provided.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, contributing to the development of educational strategies and interventions.
Qualifications:
  • Masters degree or higher in School Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Valid Ohio Department of Education Pupil Services License with a School Psychologist endorsement.
  • Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP) credential is preferred.
  • Proficiency in administering and interpreting psychological assessment tools.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, educators, and community agencies.
  • Commitment to professional development and staying informed on current best practices in school psychology.
Experience:
  • Prior experience as a School Psychologist in a K-12 setting is preferred.
  • Experience working with diverse student populations and a range of disabilities is advantageous.
