Job Summary

The RN Step Down Nurse will be responsible for providing direct patient care, conducting assessments, and developing individualized care plans. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform nursing assessments, diagnosis, and care planning for assigned patients
  • Administer treatments, medications, and procedures within scope of practice
  • Participate in coordination of care with management staff, team leader, physicians, and ancillary services
  • Delegate duties to technical support staff and maintain accountability of delegation
Requirements
  • Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing
  • Current KY RN or Compact State License in state of residence
  • BLS obtained within 90 days of employment
