Job Description

GCI's Staff Program Manager will play a crucial role in achieving the company's strategic vision through effective enterprise program management. This position requires a unique blend of business acumen, technical expertise, and leadership skills to optimize the return on investment in programs and projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Management: Support the value realization of programs, verify alignment with corporate goals, and monitor progress against the Long-Range Plan (LRP) and annual budget goals.
  • Strategic Planning: Contribute to roadmap plans that secure growth and profitability for the organization, analyze program-level trends, and identify opportunities for transformational change.
  • Vendor Management: Manage strategic vendor relationships, including procurement efforts, vendor performance evaluation, and contract compliance.
  • Collaboration: Proactively build collaborative relationships with key business unit leaders and strategic vendors to build companywide partnerships in support of GCI's strategic vision.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, project management, business, IT/IS, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of twelve (12) years in any combination of Program Management/PMO, Engineering, Organization Change Management, Project Management, Financial Management, Information Security, or Information Technology.
  • Skills: Proficient computer skills, MS Office knowledge, and ability to work effectively within a geographically distributed organization.
Working Conditions

This position requires occasional travel throughout the state and occasional work conducted at the customer's premises. The work is primarily sedentary, requiring daily routine computer usage.
