About the Job

We are actively seeking a Program Manager to develop and administer a small unmanned aircraft system (SUAS) program for the United States Air Force (USAF) at Joint Base Charleston in South Carolina. As the Program Manager, you will manage SUAS program execution to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, scope, and client satisfaction. You will also establish and manage staff for each phase of the program/project to include:

  • Identifying and resolving project performance and personnel problems
  • Complying with all Tepa and client project management policies and procedures
  • Managing deadlines and deliverables
  • Executing projects per executed agreements

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and managing an SUAS program for the United States Air Force at Joint Base Charleston
  • Leveraging significant experience with USAF and/or DoD while implementing and managing the SUAS program
  • Oversight, coordination, and/or management of contracted program office personnel based on Joint Base Charleston input
  • Leveraging highly specialized experience and technical skills to execute the existing SUAS program in its current, less-than-mature, as-is state while noting opportunities for improvement in preparation to redesign and significantly improve the program
  • SUAS program architecture development, mission integration, and program office support
  • Managing multiple simultaneous project activities, client, and project staff
  • Securing project specifications and task schedule coordination
  • Coordinating, leading, and participating in project and technology-related meetings and conference calls, including high-level strategic briefing for senior leaders
  • Overseeing and preparing monthly SUAS program execution activity reports with a log of activities performed according to government process and requirements
  • Providing quarterly update briefings to Joint Base Charleston Senior Leaders and/or HQ AFIMSC
  • Preparing and providing meeting agendas and minutes, technical white papers, briefings, point papers, etc.
  • Contributing to all team efforts by taking ownership of assigned tasks and duties, and being fully transparent and accountable for the successful performance of assigned tasks
  • Performing all duties with the highest possible degree of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail
  • Focusing particular attention on developing and maintaining client relationships and ensuring client satisfaction through the production of superior quality deliverables that meet or exceed client expectations
  • Developing and outlining work processes and procedures
  • Providing well-informed input into teaming discussions, marketing activities, and sales strategies for the types of projects, clients, and markets that they specialize in managing
  • Ensuring timely approval and submission of invoices to clients and contractors in compliance with Tepa's financial calendar
  • Working with project managers to resolve payment of invoices, gain acceptance of deliverables, and other business necessities related to the management of their projects
  • Traveling to client and project sites as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SUAS program management, with experience working with the USAF and/or DoD. They will be responsible for developing and administering the SUAS program, managing staff, and ensuring adherence to budget, schedule, scope, and client satisfaction.

They will also have a strong understanding of SUAS technology and regulatory trends, as well as experience with developing and implementing training content.
