Part-time Optical Sales Representative

We are seeking a part-time Optical Sales Representative to join our team at Shopko Optical in Lincoln, NE.

Responsibilities- Provide outstanding customer and patient service in the selection, ordering, and dispensing of eyewear.
- Analyze patient eyewear needs and recommend specific lenses, lens coatings, and frames to satisfy patient requirements.
- Assist patients in selecting frames according to style and color, ensuring frames are coordinated with facial and eye measurements and optical prescriptions.
- Order and dispense eyewear accurately and professionally, and assist patients with proper frame repairs and adjustments.
- Show patients how to insert, remove, and care for their contact lenses, and assist Optometrists with case histories and screenings.
- Maintain a complete knowledge of third-party plans and claims, and explain promotions and special lens offerings to patients and customers.
- Balance accounts, prepare work orders containing specific instructions for Optical Lab, and process medical billing information.
- Ensure proper merchandising of frame inventory, maintain a high school graduate or equivalent level of education, and obtain certification as required by state.
- Able to handle multiple customer interactions/phone calls simultaneously, work with patient eyewear needs, and operate various office equipment.
The estimated annual salary for this position is approximately $35,000 - $45,000, depending on experience.
