Position Overview:
This role entails the effective installation, management, and upkeep of fire alarm systems.

Your responsibilities will include conducting inspections, testing, and performing system evaluations in compliance with fire safety regulations; identifying deficiencies in codes and systems, and generating precise and timely inspection reports.


Compensation:
$35.00-$40.00/hr

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install or upgrade fire alarm systems in both commercial and residential properties.
  • Test and repair existing alarm systems.
  • Conduct inspections to verify compliance with safety codes.
  • Prepare detailed inspection reports documenting any identified issues.
  • Communicate results of completed work accurately and promptly.
  • Safeguard and maintain company equipment.
  • Inspect and service the vehicle and related equipment, submitting repair requests as needed to ensure safe operation.
  • Operate warehouse equipment, including vehicles, while adhering to all safety regulations and manufacturer instructions.
  • Work safely according to company safety protocols, including driver safety and personal protective equipment.
  • Respond to emergency service requests.
  • Maintain a tidy and safe work environment.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:
  • Possession of a Limited Energy Technician (LEA) License is required.
  • NICET certification is preferred (prior experience or training required).
  • Familiarity with NFPA standards (including 70 and 72) is advantageous.
  • Experience with both commercial and residential systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively and independently.
  • A clean driving record and reliable transportation to job sites are essential.
  • Flexibility in scheduling is necessary, as some assignments may require evenings, weekends, or travel.
  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge of fire safety principles and relevant codes and regulations.
  • Competence in reviewing official documents for accuracy and completeness.
  • Ability to lead and recognize deviations through inspection processes.
  • Capability to interpret, apply, and explain applicable laws, codes, and regulations.
  • Strong record-keeping and reporting skills.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions effectively.
  • Proficiency in using or repairing small/light equipment, such as power tools and ladders.

Additional Information:
  • Adherence to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy is mandatory.
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Physical Demands:

While performing the essential functions of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands or arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and may occasionally lift and/or move heavy objects.

The role also requires the following physical capabilities: balancing, climbing, grasping, hearing, mental acuity, pulling, pushing, repetitive motion, speaking, and visual acuity.
