Nuclear Medicine Technologist Job Description

Aureus Medical Group - Imaging is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join their team for a travel assignment in West Burlington, Iowa.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist to work in our state-of-the-art imaging facility. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for preparing, administering, and measuring radioactive isotopes for therapeutic, diagnostic, and tracer studies. You will also operate Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT equipment to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and administer radioactive isotopes for therapeutic, diagnostic, and tracer studies
  • Operate Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT equipment to produce high-quality images
  • Demonstrate knowledge of general and cross-sectional anatomy, technical factors, radiation safety, and basic computer skills
  • Work collaboratively with radiologists and physicians to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes
Requirements:
  • Registered ARRT (N) and/or NMTCB certification
  • State license for Nuclear Medicine Tech in Iowa
  • CPR/BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
