Position Overview:

The Thermoforming Process Technician plays a crucial role in collaborating with the process team leader to address ongoing challenges, facilitating setup for production lines, engaging with corporate engineers on new product initiatives, and ensuring the maintenance of accurate and current process documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively identify opportunities for enhancing process capabilities on the production floor.
  • Contribute insights to new product development teams as needed and actively participate in job start-ups.
  • Implement established programs to continuously improve overall product quality.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of material behavior within the thermoforming process.
  • Assist in the initiation of new equipment with process support.
  • Maintain and update process definition sheets and tracking systems.
  • Utilize basic hand tools to work on equipment.
  • Demonstrate a high level of technical proficiency gained through experience and on-the-job training.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Technical Competencies:

Quality: Develop and uphold processes that comply with ISO standards.

Training: Create and deliver training as necessary.

Equipment Operation: Operate thermoforming machinery and associated peripherals.

Record Maintenance: Accurately document and maintain required information.

Qualifications:

  • Two-year technical degree or five years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with machinery operation.
  • Proficient in problem analysis and resolution.
  • Strong analytical skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting.
  • Team-oriented with effective communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret schematics and blueprints.
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to perform under pressure.
  • Proficient in computer applications (word processing, spreadsheets, ERP systems, etc.).
  • Effective communication both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to visually interpret various postings and alerts.
  • Ability to hear safety warnings and alarms.
  • Capable of problem-solving and establishing cause-and-effect relationships in a manufacturing context.
