Job Title: Experienced Interiors Qualification Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Interiors Qualification Engineer to join our team at Boeing. As an Interiors Qualification Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, integrating, and documenting structural and interior payload system requirements to establish the system design.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develops, integrates, and documents structural and interior payload system requirements to establish the system design.
  • Develops, maintains, and modifies structural and interior payload system and component designs, using 3-D Computer Aided Design tools and/or other design methods, to provide product definition to other engineering groups, production operations, suppliers, and external customers throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Performs, integrates analytical and test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.
  • Manages supplier development, test, and production activities and coordinates with the supplier to optimize the design and achieve program goals.
  • Develops new design/analysis processes and tools to improve the effectiveness, quality, and efficiency of the development effort.
  • Investigates emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
  • 1+ years of experience designing structural or interior payload systems.
  • Prior experience acting as a technical interface with suppliers.
  • Prior experience working with airplane interiors and/or systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to obtain security clearance.
  • Experience working on waste water system components.
  • 2+ years of experience testing and qualifying components on a Boeing platform, including DO-160 compliance.
  • Experience project managing and maintaining several components through a qualification program.
  • Experience leading qualification programs.

Relocation: This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Pay: Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Summary pay range $96,050 - $129,950.
