Adjunct Faculty in Political Science

UNM Los Alamos is seeking qualified temporary part-time faculty members to teach lower division classes in Political Science. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the class, including content delivery, assignment development, grading, and assessment of student learning.
Responsibilities- Teach online and/or face-to-face Political Science courses at the 1000 or 2000 level
- Develop and implement course materials, including syllabi, assignments, and assessments
- Grade student work and provide feedback
- Meet with students during assigned times
- Assess student learning and report on progress
To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the minimum qualifications for teaching or developing courses in Political Science. These qualifications include:
- A Master's degree in the discipline or subfield for which you are applying
- A master's degree or higher in a discipline other than that for which you are applying, and successful completion of at least 18 graduate credit hours in an accredited program in the discipline or subfield for which you are applying
The following qualifications are preferred:
- Successful teaching experience in a post-secondary institution
- A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success
- Online teaching experience
- A terminal degree in the discipline or subfield (Ph.D., MFA, etc.)
- New Mexico residence
