Job OverviewPosition: Food Production Packer

Location: New Oxford, PA

Role Responsibilities

We are seeking dedicated food production packers to undertake a variety of essential tasks, including:

  • Picking and packing food products
  • Mixing recipes according to specifications
  • Labeling items accurately
  • Preparing food items for distribution

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of work areas
  • Weighing and packing products in accordance with detailed instructions
  • Ensuring products are inspected through metal detectors prior to shipment
Shift Details

This position primarily operates on the 2nd shift, with start times between 2 PM and 4 PM, working until tasks are completed (approximately 8-10 hour shifts based on workload). Candidates must be available for training on the 1st shift for 1-2 weeks.

Compensation

During the training period on the 1st shift, the pay rate is $15 per hour. Once transitioned to the 2nd shift, the pay increases to $17 per hour, with further pay increases available after 90 days of employment.

Work Environment

Employees will work in a clean, climate-controlled food manufacturing facility, adhering to stringent Safe Quality Foods Manufacturing Policies. The temperature in the work environment can range from 36 to 86 degrees, so candidates must be comfortable with varying conditions. This role requires collaboration with a diverse team and adherence to specific dress codes and safety protocols to ensure hygiene and safety standards are met.
