Key Responsibilities:

The Senior Systems Architect plays a crucial role within the Enterprise Technology Operations team. Your focus will be on the architecture, design, deployment, and maintenance of our On-Premises and Cloud-based computing frameworks and application environments. You will ensure optimal levels of availability, performance, and security.

This remote position allows you to collaborate with colleagues as necessary while working from anywhere within the contiguous United States.

Essential Duties:
  • Conduct advanced technical systems support, maintenance, and testing to ensure system integrity.
  • Demonstrate expertise in performance optimization of TIBCO BW applications.
  • Possess a strong understanding of TIBCO administration, scripting, deployment processes, debugging capabilities, and security protocols.
  • Address and resolve complex system and software issues.
  • Oversee installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of UNIX/Linux systems.
  • Act as a technical advisor, engaging in requirements gathering and documentation with stakeholders and project teams.
  • Contribute to the design, assessment, and recommendation of solutions for both existing and new software products, aligning with organizational objectives.
  • Assist in the collection and documentation of technical implementation proposals and design specifications, working with stakeholders to define goals and scope.
  • Provide technical mentorship and guidance to users, stakeholders, and project teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Maintain knowledge of a broad spectrum of software, applications, hardware, networking, and communication technologies.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on software systems, applications, hardware, networking, and communication technologies.
  • Stay informed about current technological advancements and trends in your area of expertise.
  • Ensure clear communication and instructions for outsourced resources.
  • Proactively maintain high levels of systems and infrastructure availability.
  • Effectively manage multiple open issues simultaneously.
  • Lead and mentor System Engineer I and II team members.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for application and infrastructure processes.
  • Contribute to ongoing improvements by proposing changes and efficiencies to standards and automation.
  • Perform additional related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Extensive knowledge of the TIBCO product suite (BW, BE, AS, EMS/RV)
  • Experience implementing or supporting Apigee in cloud or on-premises environments.
  • Familiarity with Zookeeper or Cassandra as part of the Apigee platform.
  • General understanding of UNIX operating system internals and system management tools.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Comprehension of enterprise infrastructure design and support, both on-premises and in the cloud.
  • Comfortable working in virtualized environments such as VMware.
  • Basic knowledge of scripting and programming languages (JavaScript, .Net, Node, React, Python).
  • Understanding of data management, storage solutions, and tools (RDBMS, NoSQL).
  • Familiarity with IT troubleshooting tools like Postman, APM, Logstash, or similar.
  • Solid networking knowledge.
  • Ability to escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate internal teams.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service abilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field is preferred.
