Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Dairy Farmers of America. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance and repairs on production and processing equipment, as well as utility-related equipment. You will also support the installation of new equipment and perform electrical troubleshooting and repair work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on production and processing equipment and utility-related equipment
• Support the installation of new equipment
• Perform electrical troubleshooting and repair work
• Use the company's computerized maintenance management system (SAP) to record and access maintenance-related information
• Assist machine operators with troubleshooting to minimize equipment downtime
• Ensure all repairs are documented and adhere to all safety policies and procedures

Requirements:

• High School Diploma/GED or Technical School
• Minimum 3 years of skilled industrial maintenance experience or comparable technical school
• Prior experience in a food or bottling manufacturing environment a plus
• Welding experience a plus

Preferred Skills:

• Basic math skills
• Familiarity with equipment and ability to interpret simple to complex blueprints and schematics
• Strong trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to read, write, and speak English
