Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Machine Maintenance Technician to join our team at Silgan Closures. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing equipment. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong mechanical abilities, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

Work alongside a team of experienced maintenance technicians to provide guidance, training, and assistance to production workers as needed.
Responsible for the maintenance and repair of injection and compression molding machines, including hydraulic systems, basic electric systems, and conveyor systems.
Diagnose and resolve mechanical and quality problems, determine necessary repairs, and restore malfunctioning equipment to service with minimal delay.
Monitor materials to ensure correct amounts are available throughout the shift.
Minimize scrap production and machine downtime during color changes.

Requirements:

Strong mechanical abilities and experience, including proven auto/truck mechanics and ability to diagnose and repair engine problems.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Must possess attention to detail and be able to demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness.

What We Offer:

Paid bi-weekly, with starting pay $20 to $30 per hour depending on experience.
