Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Park Custodian to join our team at the City of Auburn Hills. As a Park Custodian, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of our parks and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of park facilities, including restrooms, picnic areas, and playgrounds.
  • Clean and care for park equipment, including playground equipment, benches, and trash cans.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as mowing lawns, trimming bushes, and pruning trees.
  • Assist with special events and programs, including setup and teardown.
  • Provide excellent customer service to park visitors and respond to their needs and concerns.
  • Work collaboratively with other park staff to ensure the overall cleanliness and maintenance of our parks.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds, walk or stand for long periods of time, and work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in park maintenance or a related field.
  • Knowledge of park maintenance equipment and procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Salary and Benefits: $15.00 per hour. The City of Auburn Hills offers a competitive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
