Job Title: Sr. GNC Engineer

At SpaceX, we're pushing the boundaries of space exploration and development. As a Sr. GNC Engineer on our Falcon team, you'll play a critical role in designing and implementing mission trajectories for our launch vehicles.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and optimize mission trajectories for Falcon 9 and Falcon Heavy launch vehicles
  • Support launch and mission operations from pre-flight testing to console operation and post-flight data review
  • Design and implement software automation tools for mission design, analysis, and reporting
  • Perform trade studies to improve launch vehicle performance and reliability
  • Collaborate with customers to execute current missions and develop future business
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in physics or an engineering discipline and 5+ years of professional experience in GNC or software engineering
  • Experience with orbital mechanics, classical dynamics, modeling, and simulation
  • Proficiency in software languages C++ and Python
Preferred Skills:
  • Master's degree or PhD in physics or an engineering discipline
  • Experience with launch vehicle and/or spacecraft systems
  • Passion for advancing the commercial space industry and human spaceflight
