Job Summary

The Sr. Flight Reliability Engineer is responsible for ensuring the safe and reliable operation of SpaceX's flight systems. This individual will lead the development and implementation of reliability strategies, conduct risk assessments, and drive corrective actions to mitigate potential issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate risks associated with flight operations
  • Develop and implement reliability strategies to ensure the safe and reliable operation of flight systems
  • Conduct risk assessments and drive corrective actions to mitigate potential issues
  • Lead investigations and root cause analyses to identify and address reliability issues
  • Communicate with stakeholders to ensure effective implementation of reliability strategies
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering or STEM discipline
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing, quality, and/or design engineering role
  • Knowledge of vehicle systems, including structures, propulsion, avionics, guidance, navigation, and control
  • Experience with launch vehicles, spacecraft, or other aerospace systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as MatLab, Python, and SQL
  • Experience with launch operations and mission planning
  • Knowledge of systems engineering and integration
