Job Description

This role involves interacting directly with customers and teams of engineers and drafters to identify requirements, develop specifications, and implement electrical solutions. Key responsibilities include researching systems ideas, drafting plans for power and control at 480 VAC and below, reviewing specifications, and developing system specifications and drawing packages.

You will also conduct factory tests as needed and provide support throughout the manufacturing and commissioning of electrical and control systems designed by the team.

Main Responsibilities
  • Responsible for designing electrical schematics, including power distribution at 480 VAC and under.
  • Design hazardous area systems, including Class I Div. 1 and Div. 2 code and design requirements.
  • Develop instrument specifications, wiring, troubleshooting, and calibration.
  • Architect and specify control system designs, giving work direction to technicians creating drawings.
  • Knowledge of NEC and associated national, state, and local code requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in electrical engineering, with capabilities in designing electrical schematics, installing, checking, and commissioning electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of NEC and associated national, state, and local code requirements.
  • Familiarity with construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, and testing activities.
  • Document and organize projects using CAD, Excel, and Visual Manufacturing software.
