About the Role

At Google, we prioritize user experience and strive to create products that deliver value to our users and businesses. As a Quantitative User Experience Researcher (Quant UXR) on our Google Ads team, you will play a critical role in informing design decisions with data-driven insights.

Responsibilities
  • Define and Measure Quantitative UX Goals and Metrics: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish key performance indicators (KPIs) that measure user experience.
  • Develop Code and Statistical Models: Design and implement algorithms to analyze large datasets and extract meaningful patterns.
  • Conduct Empirical Research: Apply methods from computer science, quantitative social science, statistics, and econometrics to understand user behavior and preferences.
  • Communicate Findings: Present research results to stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner, ensuring that insights are effectively translated into design decisions.
About the Team

Our Quant UXR community at Google Ads is dedicated to advancing user experience through data-driven research. You will have the opportunity to work with and learn from UXRs across Google, leveraging regular meetups, mentor programs, and access to internal research tools.

Requirements
  • Master's or PhD degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, Statistics, Psychology, Anthropology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in applied research settings, with a strong background in programming languages (Python, R, MATLAB, C++, Java, Go), SQL, and statistical analysis.
  • Experience in product research and working with executive leadership.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to present complex research findings to non-experts.
What We Offer

As a Quant UXR at Google Ads, you will have the opportunity to work on high-impact projects, collaborate with a diverse team of experts, and contribute to the development of industry-leading products. Our compensation package includes a base salary range of $142,000-$211,000, bonus, equity, and benefits.
