Job Description

As a Virtual Chief Information Officer, you will play a critical role in establishing and maintaining strategic relationships with clients, understanding their business goals and objectives, and developing technology roadmaps to reduce business risk and facilitate technology improvements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform regular strategic business reviews with key client stakeholders to understand their business needs and goals.
  • Maintain and secure existing IT infrastructures, ensuring they meet client business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain a strategic roadmap for each client, aligning technology with business goals.
  • Conduct technology alignment reviews to ensure client technology is aligned with business objectives.
  • Maintain clear and precise business and alignment objectives for each client.
  • Manage client technology budgets and ensure they are aligned with business objectives.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of the ITS Standards Library and participate in the Standards and Alignment Committee.
  • Design and present technology proposals to clients, working closely with the Design Desk team.
  • Provide professional services, including project work, and review project results to ensure success criteria are met.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and communicate effectively with clients, other consultants, and contractors.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest IT and telecommunications systems, hardware, and software applications.
  • Conduct thorough checks and self-checks of information and documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist in the training, mentoring, and development of staff and perform general office duties as required.
Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of IT and telecommunications infrastructure, hardware, and software applications.
  • Qualifications in business development, computer science, or information technology, or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of network and workstation operating systems, and Microsoft Windows operating system.
  • Demonstrated experience with web and internet technologies.
  • Ability to solve business problems with technology solutions and communicate effectively with non-technical decision-makers.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work in a fast-paced environment, and maintain high positive customer satisfaction and relationship building.
