Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

KurzSolutions is seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality psychiatric care to patients in an outpatient setting.
Responsibilities- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and treatment, examining, evaluating, diagnosing, and treating psychiatric disorders.
- Manage and direct psychiatric services, including preparing and reviewing case histories and obtaining and evaluating data through interviews.
- Prescribe and evaluate the effectiveness of a wide range of therapeutic measures, integrating findings and formulating clinical information to establish a diagnosis.
- Determine the appropriate treatment setting and provide a variety of treatment modalities, including psychopharmacology and traditional interactive psychotherapies.
- Refer, coordinate, and facilitate inpatient admissions for admission to psychiatric or partial hospitalization facilities.
- Provide psychiatric consultation to mental health patients who present with complicated psychiatric conditions.
- Provide psychiatric training for the mental health flight and other physicians as requested by the Chief of Hospital Services.
- Master's or doctoral degree in nursing from an accredited academic program.
- Hold and maintain BLS and ACLS certification through the American Heart Association or client guidelines.
- Certified in the specialty as a Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), or the recognized national nursing certification organization for the specialty area of practice.
- At least 5 years' experience working in a mental health clinic.
- Board Certification: Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
- Maintain an active, valid, current, and unrestricted license to practice nursing as a Nurse Practitioner from any state or territory of the United States or the District of Columbia.
- Ability to pass a Government background check/security clearance.
