UHealth Tower is seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our team in Radiation Oncology. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with physicians to develop treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess patients' physical and psychosocial status through interviews, health histories, physical examinations, and diagnostic studies.
- Assist physicians in performing medical procedures, including blood drawing, vital signs, and nursing assessments.
- Work with physicians to formulate treatment plans and provide follow-up care.
- Initiate and facilitate clinical research protocols and coordinate patient care with research staff.
- Obtain complete medical histories independently and participate in quality assurance programs.
- Provide medical support to staff, triaging and implementing care in a knowledgeable and skillful manner.
- Administer nursing assessments, including performing examinations, giving injections, and assessing patients' health status.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal health regulations.
- Minimum of two years' experience working with radiation oncology patients preferred.
- Credentialing to practice by Hospital Medical Board required.
