About the Position:

The Syracuse City School District is seeking a dedicated and experienced Cheerleading Coach to lead our Modified Cheerleading Team at Ed Smith. As a key member of our athletic team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive coaching plan that promotes teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship among our student athletes.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a coaching plan that aligns with the district's athletic program goals and objectives.
  • Recruit, train, and manage a team of student athletes to participate in Modified Cheerleading competitions.
  • Provide guidance and support to student athletes to develop their skills and confidence.
  • Collaborate with other coaches and staff to ensure a cohesive and supportive athletic program.
  • Attend coaching workshops and training sessions to stay up-to-date on best practices and district policies.

Qualifications:
  • New York State Coaching Certification.
  • Valid First Aid and Adult CPR certification.
  • Valid Concussion Management Certificate (preferred).
  • Previous coaching experience (preferred).
