Endoscopy Technician Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Endoscopy Technician to join our team at CareerNation.
M-F 7:30am- 4pm
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Registered Nurse and Physician in the performance of duties and procedures for endoscopy, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare Procedure Rooms: Set up procedure rooms, layout of supplies, selection of proper scopes to ensure efficient and safe procedures.
- Post-Procedure Cleaning: Prepare endoscopy procedure room after each procedure by following infection control practices including disinfection of all surfaces etc.
- Scope Cleaning: Cleaning and flushing of scopes following national standards and guidelines for infection control practices.
- Maintenance and Quality Assurance: Monitor and maintain the automated endoscopic reprocessing equipment including performance of control monitoring/quality assurance procedures with regard to equipment and disinfectants.
- Sterilization and Logistics: Maintain autoclave and processing all sterilization procedures on instruments following guidelines and maintaining all spore testing and autoclave logs.
- Patient Care: Assist with handling specimens and transport to lab, and assist with transport of patients into and out of procedure rooms.
Qualifications and Education:
· High school diploma or equivalent required.
· Computer skills essential.
· Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
· Graduate of approved Medical Assistant or Medical Technician Program preferred.
· Training in endoscopic equipment cleaning processes a plus.
Estimated Salary Range: $45,000 - $60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
