Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and execute the organization’s comprehensive information security strategy.
- Conduct thorough risk evaluations and formulate effective mitigation strategies.
- Oversee the management of security incidents, ensuring prompt and effective resolutions.
- Direct the organization’s security operations to maintain a robust defense posture.
- Develop, implement, and uphold security policies and procedures that align with best practices.
- Facilitate security awareness initiatives for all employees to foster a culture of security.
- Collaborate with various departments to safeguard the integrity of the organization’s systems and data.
- Engage closely with engineering, product, and research teams to ensure security integration.
- Lead and guide both internal and external stakeholders through security evaluations and implementations.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in information security, computer science, or a related discipline; an advanced degree is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in risk management, information security, and IT roles, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership capacity.
- Possession of professional security management certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA.
- Demonstrated expertise in formulating and executing information security policies and programs in dynamic environments.
- Familiarity with recognized information security management frameworks like NIST 800-53 or ISO 27001.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey complex security concepts to diverse audiences.
- In-depth knowledge of technology infrastructures, including networks, programming, and cloud services.
- Proficient in implementing security measures for internet-facing applications across major public cloud platforms.
- Experience in safeguarding personal and healthcare information, with a strong understanding of relevant regulations such as HIPAA and GDPR.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities and sound judgment in high-pressure situations.
