Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacist to join our team at OU Health. As a Pharmacist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compounding and Dispensing: Compound and dispense prescribed medications, drugs, and other pharmaceuticals for patient care.
  • Patient Profile Management: Maintain and review patient profiles to ensure appropriateness of drug therapy, allergies, interactions, and side effects.
  • Adverse Reaction Investigation: Investigate reports of adverse drug reactions and prepare required reports.
  • Medication Information: Advise staff, physicians, and customers, as needed, with information regarding the appropriate use of medications.
  • Team Leadership: Oversee the work of pharmacy technicians.
  • Inventory Management: Ensure that inventory levels are adequately maintained and drugs have not expired.
  • Training and Education: Assist with in-service education for hospital staff and pharmacy-related training.
Requirements
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited pharmacy degree program (Bachelor of Science or Pharm. D).
  • Experience: None required.
  • Licensure: Licensed as a Doctor of Pharmacy (D.Ph.) by the Oklahoma State Board of Pharmacy. Certificate as a preceptor by the Oklahoma Board of Pharmacy when eligible.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Pharmacology: Knowledge of the principles and procedures associated with pharmacology.
  • Communication Skills: Good communication skills along with the ability to translate technical information into terms the general public can understand.
  • Computer Skills: Computer skills.
