Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Speech/Language Pathologist to join our team at the Riverside County Office of Education. This role is ideal for an experienced professional who can implement district-approved curriculum, document progress, and provide a safe learning environment for students with communicatively handicapped elementary school age children.

About the Role:
This position involves delivering high-quality speech therapy services in a public school setting. As a Speech/Language Pathologist, you will work closely with teachers, administrators, and other support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that meet the unique needs of each student. Your expertise will play a critical role in promoting academic success, interpersonal skills, and daily living activities among our students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Curriculum Implementation:
Develop and implement district-approved curriculum for speech therapy services, ensuring alignment with state and national standards.
• Progress Documentation:
Accurately document student progress, including data collection, progress monitoring, and reporting to parents and administrators.
• Student Support:
Provide individualized support to students with specific needs, addressing communication challenges and developing strategies for improvement.
• Learning Environment:
Create a safe and optimal learning environment that fosters engagement, motivation, and social interaction among students.
• Feedback and Communication:
Regularly communicate with parents, teachers, and administrators to provide feedback on student progress, address concerns, and collaborate on IEP development.

Requirements:

• Education:
A Bachelor's degree in Communicative Disorders or equivalent is required.
• Experience:
Previous experience working with communicatively handicapped elementary school age children is essential.
• Credentials:
A California Credential/Waiver authorizing Speech Therapy License for public schools is mandatory.
• Test Waiver:
A Basic Skills Requirement Test waiver (if applicable) must be secured.

Estimated Salary:
$90,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
