Job Title: Registered Nurse - Med/Surg

Job Summary:

Atrium Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Medical Surgical team. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team, and promoting a positive and supportive work environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Collect patient health data, analyze the data, and develop a plan of care that prescribes interventions to attain expected outcomes.
  • Implement the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Provide education to patients and families on health promotion, disease prevention, and management of chronic conditions.
  • Document patient assessment findings, behavioral/psychosocial responses to nursing interventions, and progress toward problem resolution.
  • Participate in performance improvement activities to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Current registration to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Georgia.
  • Graduate from an accredited School of Registered Professional Nurses.
  • BCLS certification required.
  • ACLS certification encouraged.
  • Certification in related specialty encouraged.
Working Conditions:

Frequent exposure to communicable disease, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medicinal preparations, and other conditions common to a hospital environment.

Physical Demands:

Requires full range of body motion, including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 50 pounds. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Requires working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours. Requires some exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids.
