Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled RN Lead Charge Auditor to join our Revenue Cycle team at Saint Vincent's Medical Center Riverside. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of staff in coordinating payer denials and appeals, responding to insurance company requests for medical records, and performing medical record reviews.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead assigned staff in coordinating payer denials and appeals, responding to insurance company requests for medical records, and performing medical record reviews.
  • Coordinate review of medical records to determine accuracy of billing through verification of coding, billing and supporting clinical documentation.
  • Lead staff in coordinating all activities associated with insurance carrier audit requests and work with payers to ensure timely handling of these payer audits.
  • Oversee review of technical payer denials and determines whether an appeal is justified.
  • Write and track technical appeal letters and relay information to the billing department.
  • Perform leadership functions for the team including scheduling, resolution support, daily process time management, process improvement, and auditing.
  • Provide input into hiring, training, directing, development and evaluation of staff.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required.
