Health Center Director

The Health Center Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and clinical performance of assigned health centers. This includes ensuring staffing coverage, handling patient issues, and adhering to budget and operational plans.

• Oversee daily operations and staffing of assigned health centers.
• Directly supervise staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.
• Meet or exceed visit goals through effective management of health center operations.
• Adhere to budget and prepare operating and capital budgets annually.
• Maintain control over health center inventories, purchases, and supplies.
• Ensure staff are trained to offer excellent customer service and quality care.
• Act as a customer service role model and provide regular feedback to staff.
• Hold daily huddles to ensure communication and daily schedule are clear to all staff.
• Responsible for daily health center flow, including implementing improvements to maximize efficiency and productivity.
• Motivate health center-based team through frequent communications and supervisory feedback.
• Proactively identify obstacles to quality and customer service and make changes or report issues to RDPSO.
• Accountable for health center performance vs. monthly budget volumes and share statistical information with staff.
• Review and analyze reports of service visits, budgets, and performance measurements as directed by RDPSO.
• Facilitate the work of RDPSO with on-site clinicians to ensure highest level of efficiency and productivity.
• Build a successful health center team and communicate regularly and effectively.
• Complete probationary and annual performance reviews timely and provide meaningful feedback.
• Develop and complete performance improvement plans or disciplinary actions as needed.
• Ensure staff are proficient in use of electronic health record and practice management system.
• Participate in surgical abortion service as an ICP Flow Facilitator rotation as needed.
• Demonstrate flexibility and teamwork and understand interaction between this position and others.
• Complete all responsibilities according to established protocols, policies, and standard practices.

• Three to five years of relevant on-site management experience or equivalent.
• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent number of years of applicable experience) strongly preferred.
• Excellent organizational, supervisory, and healthcare finance management skills.
• Ability to effectively motivate a diverse staff and volunteers.
• Computer skills including knowledge of clinic management software and electronic communications.
• Ability to work flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
• Willingness to participate in all levels of operations to assure maximal performance of the health center.
• Commitment to the mission of Planned Parenthood.
• Qualified driver's license and daily availability to an automobile.
