Job Summary

As an EMT Paramedic at Houston Methodist, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and services to our diverse patient population. Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the delivery of patient care and services to diverse patient populations
  • Perform EKGs and collect lab specimens under the direction of a licensed nurse or provider
  • Conduct hourly rounding to ensure patient needs are met and record data established by policy and procedure
  • Report observations and patient problems to the licensed nurse or provider
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent education
  • Completion of EMT-A, EMT-Paramedic program, or licensed Paramedic
  • Six months pre-hospital experience or six months hospital experience as an EMT or Paramedic
  • Licensed Paramedic - State Licensure
  • BLS - Basic Life Support (AHA)
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (AHA)
  • PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (AHA) within 3 months
  • NVCRISIS - Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (CPI) within 3 months
