Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled EMT/Paramedic to join our team at Houston Methodist. As an EMT/Paramedic, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and services to our diverse patient population.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the delivery of patient care and services to diverse patient population and their families.
  • Perform EKGs and collect lab specimens under direction of the licensed nurse and/or provider.
  • Conduct hourly rounding to ensure patient needs are met and record data established by policy and procedure.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, family members, and co-workers in a customer service-focused manner.

Requirements:

  • EMT-A - Emergency Medical Technician-Advanced - State Certification or EMT-P - Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic - State Certification.
  • Sufficient proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing the English language necessary to perform the essential functions of this job.
  • Ability to adapt to multiple ongoing priorities with minimal supervision.
