We are seeking a skilled Barista to join our team at the University of Alaska - Fairbanks. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving coffee and espresso drinks, as well as maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for our customers.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and serve coffee and espresso drinks to customers
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including the espresso bar and surrounding areas
- Interact with customers in a friendly and courteous manner, responding to their needs and concerns
- Operate a point-of-sale system to process transactions and manage cash and credit sales
- Replenish condiments, beverages, and supplies as needed
- Follow HACCP guidelines and standards for quality food-service operations
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience in a food service or customer service role preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time
