Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead and oversee all aspects of human resources and recruiting for our law firm client.

The ideal candidate will be a strategic HR professional responsible for overseeing various HR functions, with a primary focus on talent acquisition and recruitment.

This role will be instrumental in developing and implementing effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent, as well as managing a wide range of HR responsibilities, including employee relations, performance management, and HR compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Recruitment and Talent Acquisition:
    • Develop and execute comprehensive recruitment strategies to attract and hire top talent across all levels of the organization.
    • Source and screen candidates through various channels, including job boards, social media, and professional networks.
    • Conduct interviews, assess candidate qualifications, and make hiring recommendations.
    • Manage the onboarding process for new hires, including paperwork, orientation, and training.
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with hiring managers to understand their hiring needs and provide guidance on recruitment best practices.
    • Utilize applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other HR technologies to streamline the recruitment process.
  • HR Responsibilities:
    • Manage employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, performance management, and disciplinary actions.
    • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
    • Assist with the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
    • Provide guidance and support to employees on HR-related matters, such as benefits, compensation, and leave policies.
    • Conduct investigations and resolve employee complaints in a timely and confidential manner.
    • Participate in HR projects, such as performance reviews, compensation planning, and employee engagement initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience within a law firm/legal environment, with a strong focus on recruitment.
  • Proven track record of successful recruitment and talent acquisition.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Compensation and Benefits:

$115-125k per year, based on experience.
