Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Emergency Services Technician EMT I to join our team at UCHealth. As an EMT I, you will play a critical role in providing emergent/urgent patient care under the direction of a physician, physician's assistant, and/or registered nurse.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform technical procedures as delegated, including establishing IV access, collecting specimens, providing wound care, and transporting patients.
  • Assist physicians and nurses with performing medical procedures, including examinations, minor surgical interventions, orthopedic treatment, and resuscitation.
  • Report abnormal assessment findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to medical/nursing staff.
  • Assist with patient flow and keeping patient rooms clean, stocked, and orderly.
Requirements
  • Minimum Required Education: High School Diploma or GED.
  • Required Licensure/Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider and any relevant life support certification as determined at position level. Current State Licensure as an EMT with IV certification, or EMT-I.
  • Minimum Experience: None required.
