Your Role:


In this position, you will operate under general supervision, primarily responsible for conducting imaging for both neuro and body scans across a diverse patient demographic, from neonates to seniors. You will adhere to age-specific guidelines, transmit images for diagnostic review, and maintain the hospital's computer system with exam progress updates.

As a CT Technologist, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and fostering respectful relationships while upholding the principles of our facility.


Qualifications for Success:

Licensure, Certification, or Registration:

Mandatory:

  • Completion of accredited radiologic technology training and A.R.R.T. registration
  • Computed Tomography A.R.R.T. (CT) certification as required
  • State licensure for general radiography as mandated
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Education and Experience:

Essential:

  • Associate's or Technical degree in a relevant field

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two years of clinical Radiology experience in a hospital setting
  • Proficiency in analyzing data, methodologies, and equipment operation to ensure accurate information presentation
  • Current knowledge of patient positioning and equipment operations, including x-ray machines
  • Effective communication skills with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
  • Familiarity with healthcare industry concepts and practices
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking conversational English
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office

Your Contributions:

  • Execute all imaging procedures following established protocols, ensuring proper patient identification prior to exams and educating patients about the process.
  • Complete exams efficiently, maintaining workflow and minimizing downtime.
  • Operate imaging equipment safely and effectively, adapting protocols as necessary for patients of all ages.
  • Screen patients appropriately and adhere to safety standards to minimize radiation exposure.
  • Review and repeat images as needed to achieve optimal results, notifying physicians of urgent findings as per protocol.
  • Utilize the computer system for exam management, ensuring accuracy in orders.

  • Contribute to data collection for process improvement initiatives within the department.
  • Engage in exceptional customer service practices and utilize service recovery techniques when necessary.
  • Maintain compliance with radiation protection standards and participate in departmental meetings with a positive attitude.
  • Support physicians during procedures and emergencies as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to ensure the efficient operation of the department.
