Computer Science Education Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Computer Science Education Specialist to join our team as a Curriculum Developer and Coach.
About the RoleThis is an extraordinary opportunity to shape the future of computer science education for children. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in delivering on our mission to inspire students to become aware of their incredible potential and equip them with the skills necessary for success in school and life.
Responsibilities- You will provide in-person coaching to educators and students using our curriculum materials, leading Professional Development trainings for educators both in person and online.
- Your primary responsibilities include assessing educators' professional development needs, customizing training sessions based on those identified areas for growth, and ensuring our educational standards are clearly communicated and implemented.
- You will also provide guidance to help educators identify and implement solutions to address their students' academic needs, developing new curriculum and content aligned with current national content standards.
- A Bachelor's and Master's degree are required; experience working with children is essential.
- You should have a solid understanding and comfortability utilizing technology such as software, web-based applications, various operating systems, computer gaming, and tablets/mobile devices.
- Some coursework or experience in the field of computer science is preferred, along with experience with Scratch or Java.
- The ideal candidate will have some experience in designing and developing training curriculum, excellent communication skills, and excellent time management and organizational skills.
The estimated salary for this position is around $65,000 per year, depending on your level of experience. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to work with a talented team, receive ongoing support and professional development, and contribute to making a positive impact on the world through computer science education.
Please note that all employees may be required to occasionally lift, move, and set-up stacks of documents such as instructional materials, computers, projectors, flip charts, and other materials used for educator professional development.
