Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at Healthcare Staffing Plus. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures. Your expertise and attention to detail will make a significant difference in the lives of our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare sterile operating rooms for surgeries, ensuring a safe and efficient environment for patients and medical staff.
  • Sterilize equipment and instruments, maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness.
  • Stock adequate supplies for surgery, ensuring that all necessary materials are readily available.
  • Prepare patients for surgery by washing and disinfecting incision sites, demonstrating compassion and care.
  • Provide support during surgery by passing instruments and other supplies, working closely with surgeons and medical staff.
  • Track surgical supplies, ensuring that inventory is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Stay up-to-date on surgical technology, medical terminology, and procedures, maintaining a high level of expertise.
  • Work well with surgeons, surgical assistants, nurses, and the general surgical team, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
  • Help provide great patient care, prioritizing the needs and well-being of our patients.
Requirements
  • 40 hour work week, scrub skills for CV surgery cases.
  • 5 OR's, call requirements.
  • BLS and ACLS certification.
  • National Institutes of Health (NIH) certification.
  • Certified Principal Investigator (CPI) certification.
  • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
  • The ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Strong technical skills.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Passionate about patient care.
  • Requires a minimum of two years of current Cardiovascular Surgical Tech experience.
  • Graduate from a fully accredited certification Surgical Tech program.
  • Active unencumbered Surgical Tech Indiana state license.
  • One year of Epic experience.
  • COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster.
