Responsibilities
  • Assess patients in emergency situations and provide critical care
  • Respond to a variety of emergencies, including medical and traumatic cases
  • Perform patient care and transport patients safely and rapidly to local emergency departments
  • Document patient care and communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and support staff
Requirements
  • State certification as an Emergency Medical Technician or Paramedic
  • National certification as an Emergency Medical Technician or Paramedic (preferred)
  • State certification as an Emergency Medical Services Vehicle Operator (EMSVO)
  • Basic Life Support (CPR) certification
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (required for Paramedic)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (required for Paramedic)
