Position Overview
As the Aeroderivative Engineering Operations Manager, you will oversee a dedicated team responsible for spearheading departmental initiatives aimed at enhancing engineering practices, ensuring execution clarity, promoting effectiveness, maintaining compliance, prioritizing safety, fostering a positive culture, and facilitating collaboration with various interfacing functions such as Systems & Design Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, Product Line, and customers.


Key Responsibilities
Your primary duties will include:

  • Coordinating metrics effectively and creating visual management tools and dashboards utilizing LEAN methodologies.
  • Enhancing departmental functional processes and managing cross-functional initiatives.
  • Improving methods and tools for transparent project and program management, with the aim of developing standardized practices applicable across global Aeroderivative Engineering teams.

This role offers a moderate level of autonomy, necessitating sound operational judgment aligned with professional standards and policies.


Roles and Responsibilities
In this capacity, you will:

  • Establish and uphold regular operational rhythms to ensure timely and budget-compliant delivery of programs, projects, quality, product costs, and MRB deliverables.
  • Lead Monthly Operating Reviews (MORs), which involve creating and presenting KPI reports and formulating recovery plans when KPIs deviate from targets.
  • Facilitate PSRs when improvements in KPIs are required.
  • Collaborate with Systems Engineering Leaders, Design Engineering Leaders (both local and global), and Finance to develop standardized tools and procedures for the global engineering organization.
  • Drive Lean Operations initiatives, including Metrics Dashboards and Unified Data Sources, to enhance metrics transparency, streamline problem-solving, provide foresight capabilities, and enable efficient daily management.
  • Lead organizational communication and recognition initiatives, encompassing Safety, Culture, All-Hands Meetings, Employee Spotlights, and Team Recognition.
  • Collaborate to build an Operations Leadership network across the broader Aviation Engineering organization.
  • Contribute to strategic workforce planning and policy development while leveraging best practices.


Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you should possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in Engineering Operations.

  • Exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Experience with Lean methodologies, including GENBA, PSRs, and Kaizen Events.
  • A proven track record in problem analysis and resolution.

  • Established project management skills.
  • The ability to collaborate with non-engineering functions to devise optimal solutions impacting critical business outcomes.
  • A Master's degree in engineering is preferred.
