Position Overview:

The Aerospace Systems Engineer will be responsible for creating, integrating, and applying comprehensive digital models of products throughout their entire life cycle. This role requires a blend of specific functional knowledge and general industry expertise to develop solutions for a range of moderate complexity challenges in support of hypersonic testing and development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently conduct systems design, integration, and testing activities while providing guidance to junior team members.
  • Perform system-level trade studies to effectively identify and balance conflicting requirements.
  • Oversee the delivery of complex aerospace hardware from initial concept through to testing phases.
  • Ensure compliance with security protocols, with the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
  • Utilize a Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in deriving and defining requirements for systems.
  • Proficiency in validating and verifying requirements.
  • Familiarity with gated design review processes.
  • Knowledge of Systems Modeling Language (SysML) or Unified Modeling Language (UML).
  • Experience with requirement management tools such as DOORS or JAMA.
  • A Master's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering is advantageous.

Security Clearance:

Selected applicants will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

The salary for this position is determined by various factors, including location, education, skills, and experience. The typical compensation range for this role is between $84,600.00 and $193,000.00 annually.
